Quick Ideas for Wedding Favors
Have you left your wedding favors till the last minute? You are probably not alone, many brides don’t even think about their favors until about a month before the wedding. By this time it could be too late to order them & have them delivered in time.
Don’t worry though, there are plenty of wedding favor ideas that you can get your hands on from local stores, here are some ideas for you to consider:
Candles: These are great for wedding favors & can be bought at any number of places. They don’t cost very much & don’t need any extensive packaging to make them look pretty. Dollar stores will probably carry a good choice of tea lights in holders & votive candles, you may also find holders for these too.
In terms of packaging you can simply tie ribbon around them or make a paper band with different colored papers.
Bath Salts & Bombs: These can also be found for relatively little expensive. Bath salts often come in sachets, whilst bath bombs can be bought loose. Try to get his & hers scents to appeal to all your guests.
For packaging you can look for some glass jars to decant your bath salts into & fabric bags for your bath bombs.
Chocolates: Always a firm favorite for favors & always well received by the guests! Chocolates are so easy to find & all you will need is some nice boxes to put them in. You don’t need to visit a master of chocolates, but do buy good quality ones. Avoid any with nuts in just in case any of your guests may have nut allergies.
From luxury truffles, to chocolate lollipops you will find a great choice available & best of all you can have some fun taste testing them – purely in the interests of quality control of course!
Candies: As with chocolates, a box of candies always goes down well. Choose retro candies that were your childhood favorites or simply a mix of classics. You can package them in boxes or in simple cellophane bags tied with ribbon.
Cookies: Simple to bake at home & ever so popular as wedding favors. The beauty of cookies is that they can be made in just about any shape & iced with an array of different colors. If you don’t fancy tackling icing yourself, you could just make up batches of different flavored mini cookies & give your guests a little cookie goody bag.
You could also use cookies as your name cards by icing your guests’ names on them.
As you hit the shops looking for your wedding favors you will no doubt come across many other items that would make perfect favors. So it really isn’t the end of the world if you have left them till the last minute, as there is always something available locally which you could give.
