How long will wedding cake last sitting on kitchen table?
I have a wedding my top tier of my wedding cake that is 8″ sitting on my kitchen table. It has been there for 6 days. It is buttercream icing filled with custard. I want to freeze it and save till anniversary date. Will it still be safe to do so after 6 days of sitting on the table?
The icing should be fine but sadly the Custard filling probably won’t make it and it might not be worth the risk leaving it out. If it was Icing and cake alone then likely it would be fine as Sugar is a strong preservative and Buttercream is very high in sugar as is the cake. The Custard on the otherr hand may go bad. Best to try to find a frideg or freezer to keep it….
